This safari includes:
  • Accommodation at unfenced African Ivory Route safari camp(s) in Greater Kruger. Each tent offers 2 comfortable beds, bedding & towels, WC and shower.
  • All food & soft drinks, beer and wine as specified in the meal plan at the end of each day in the itinerary below
  • All transport in air-conditioned vehicles (a/c does not apply to the open game viewing vehicles), starting and ending in Johannesburg
  • Fuel and toll road fees
  • A day of game viewing in Kruger National Park including conservation fees
  • 5 guided game drives in open game-viewing vehicles with qualified rangers
  • The exclusive services of a qualified and registered tour guide / driver plus support staff.
This safari excludes:
  • Meals not included in the meal plan at the end of each day in the itinerary below

YOUR SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1: Johannesburg to the Greater Kruger Park
  • Depart early from Johannesburg and travel east towards the Greater Kruger Wilderness area and the Manyeleti Game Reserve - a prime 'Big 5' area.
  • Accomodation in Ndzhaka Camp in permanent safari tents on raised wooden platforms, each with its own private viewing deck.
  • Lunch in the camp
  • An afternoon/evening guided game drive (3-4 hours) depart in an open game viewing vehicle, led by a qualified ranger and tracker
  • Dinner is enjoyed at the main lapa, followed by coffee/drinks around the campfire.
  • No other people, vehicles or noises - just nature!
  • Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner (Breakfast for your own account)
Day 2: Manyeleti Game Reserve & Kruger
  • Depart before sunrise in a vehicle, heading for the nearby Kruger National Park to enjoy a fantastic day of game viewing led by a tour guide.
  • Game viewing with breakfast enjoyed at one of the many picnic sites in the park.
  • At midday stop at Satara Rest camp to shop for curios.
  • After searching for the Big 5 leave Kruger and return to the tranquility of Manyeleti
  • Another exciting guided game drive (3-4 hours),later stopping for sundowners at one of the reserves waterholes, before searching for the predators by spotlight.
  • Dinner is enjoyed at the main lapa.
  • Later around the campfire and soaking up the big African night sky. Just you, the animals and the bush!
  • Meal plan: Breakfast, Dinner (Lunch for your own account)
Day 3: Manyeleti Game Reserve
  • Early morning guided game drive (3-4 hours) in the capable hands of our African Ivory Route ranger and tracker.
  • Breakfast at the central lapa, then move camps to nearby Buffelshoek Camp also located within Manyeleti.
  • Here we are accomodated in comfortable dome tents on wooden decks and under thatched roofs, each with its own WC and wash basin.
  • The rest of the day is spent at leisure enjoying the sounds of the bush and maybe even having some animals wanderiing through the camp.
  • In the afternoon depart for another exciting guided game drive (3-4 hours), stopping for sundowners at one of the reserves waterholes, then continuing after dark with the spotlight.
  • Dinner around the campfire - you will not get closer to the African bush than this!
  • Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 4: Johannesburg via the Panorama Route
  • Early morning guided game drive (3-4 hours) in Manyeleti, under the expert guidance of our qualified ranger and tracker.
  • Breakfast at the central lapa before preparing for departure.
  • Drive along the Panorama Route enjoying scenic highlights of Mpumalanga such as God’s Window and Blyde River Canyon.
  • Meal plan: Breakfast (Lunch & Dinner for your own account)
